Imagine living in a world where your pain is dismissed, where access to care is a privilege rather than a right, where the very act of seeking help feels like an uphill battle. For too many women, this isn’t just imagination—it’s reality.
At CSM 2025, we didn’t just present research. We told stories—stories of resilience, of suffering, of hope. We painted a picture of what’s possible when women’s health is prioritized and what happens when it’s ignored.
What We Shared at CSM
Women’s health has been sidelined for far too long. The numbers tell a devastating story:
- 1 in 3 women experiences pelvic floor dysfunction.
- Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications.
- Too many women are prescribed painkillers instead of solutions—their symptoms dismissed, their pain normalized.
But these numbers? They aren’t just statistics. They are mothers, daughters, partners, and friends who deserve better.
At CSM, we dove into the systemic barriers that keep women from receiving care—from cultural stigmas to lack of provider training, from insurance roadblocks to the silence surrounding pelvic health issues. But we didn’t stop at the problems. We shared solutions.
- Bridging the knowledge gap—because providers need the right training to see, hear, and treat women effectively.
- Creating pathways to care—because access should not be dictated by race, geography, or financial status.
- Empowering women through movement and rehabilitation—because true healing is about restoring function, dignity, and confidence.
Why This Work Matters
Women’s health is not a side issue. It’s a global issue. A human issue.
- It’s about the mother suffering from debilitating pain who is told, “That’s just part of having kids.”
- It’s about the young athlete sidelined because no one recognized the early signs of pelvic dysfunction.
- It’s about the Black woman who is three times more likely to die in childbirth simply because of where she was born and the color of her skin.
When we fight for women’s health, we fight for futures restored, dignity reclaimed, and generations transformed.
