Yoga Class with Bridget Ochuko
March 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This yoga class is focused on bringing relaxation and healing to those who suffer from chronic pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis. This class will focus on teaching you to connect to your mind, body, spirit, and breath to find relief from any persistent pain cycles you experience on a regular basis.
Yoga allows for individuals to find that mind, body, and spirit connection that oftentimes builds resilience and encourages one to live in the present. This is especially important in marginalized communities where more often than not, there are many factors impacting their overall quality of life, ultimately contributing to disease and illness. Regularly participating in yoga can help combat the development and exacerbation of these negative experiences that can have a significant impact on a person’s life.
Bridget Ochuko is a Women’s Health Resident at Washington University in St. Louis. Bridget’s passion is to help people heal from pelvic floor dysfunction coming from a therapeutic and holistic lens. Bridget’s hopes for the future are to combine her knowledge of pelvic floor physical therapy, yoga, public health, and birthing to help all those who would benefit from this holistic, therapeutic approach and bring those skills into minority-filled spaces.
As a part of Washington University’s PEEPS Research Pilot Program, Bridget will hold the role of lead yoga instructor, developing and teaching sequences geared towards different topics surrounding endometriosis and pelvic health. In addition, Bridget will be working in conjunction with her co-resident to teach educational material on how pelvic floor physical therapy can be effective in helping those with endometriosis.
